Dutch student slang
What does Bv mean?
Bv stands for "bestuursvergadering", the board meeting where the board of a Dutch association discusses everything going on.
The bv ran until after midnight because of a discussion about the lustrum.
Dutch student slang. This is a Dutch word. You will hear it a lot at Dutch universities, student associations and in student houses.
During a bv the board talks about everything. Money, plans, problems and the next ALV. They happen every week. And they are rarely short. Also read what bestuur means.
