What does Hangover mean?
A hangover is the awful feeling the day after drinking too much.
"After the gala I had the worst hangover of my life. I spent all of Sunday on the couch."
With a hangover you often have a headache, thirst, nausea and zero focus. The Dutch call it a kater, and the lazy, useless version is called brak. Time, water and rest help most. Drinking again the next day is called hair of the dog. Also read what para means.
