What does Para mean?

Before going to sleep she quickly took a para for the headache she knew was coming.

Dutch student slang. This is a Dutch word. You will hear it a lot at Dutch universities, student associations and in student houses.

It helps against headaches. But more doesn't mean better, and it is not a cure for drinking too much. Water and sleep do most of the work. The other student favourite is ibu. Also read about brak and hangover.
