What does Vrijmibo mean?
Vrijmibo (short for "vrijdagmiddagborrel") is the Friday afternoon drinks to close the week.
Every Friday at five the vrijmibo started at the sociëteit.
Dutch student slang. This is a Dutch word. You will hear it a lot at Dutch universities, student associations and in student houses.
Students use it to close the study week, workers to leave the work week behind. Lots of Dutch offices have one too. A borrel, by the way, is the Dutch word for casual drinks with snacks. Very gezellig. Also read about arbeider, happy hour and gezel.
