What does Sociëteit mean?
The sociëteit is the clubhouse where members of a Dutch student association meet for drinks and parties.
On Friday night the sociëteit filled up with members for the weekly borrel.
Dutch student slang. This is a Dutch word. You will hear it a lot at Dutch universities, student associations and in student houses.
