Dutch student slang
What does Knor mean?
Knor (oink) is what members of a Dutch corps call students who are not members of the corps.
"Easy there, knor," a corps member called out to a passing student.
Dutch student slang. This is a Dutch word. You will hear it a lot at Dutch universities, student associations and in student houses.
Corps members use it for anyone outside their association. Some say it stands for "kent niet onze regels": doesn't know our rules. It is a bit snobby. Most people who get called knor wear it with pride. Also read about spijtknor and spoorknor.
