What does Pub mean?
A pub is a bar, especially in the UK and Ireland, where you drink, eat and meet people.
"In Dublin we went to the same pub every night. After three days the bartender knew our names."
Pub comes from public house. A pub is usually calmer than a club. It is a local spot where you have a pint with friends and sometimes do a quiz. A night visiting lots of pubs is a pub crawl. Also read what dive bar means.
