Dutch student slang
What does BSA mean?
The BSA ("bindend studieadvies") is the binding study advice that decides if you can continue your programme after your first year.
With a negative BSA she had no choice but to look for another programme.
Dutch student slang. This is a Dutch word. You will hear it a lot at Dutch universities, student associations and in student houses.
Don't get enough credits in your first year at a Dutch university? Then you get a negative BSA. That usually means you have to stop and can't sign up for that programme again for a few years. So it is wise to keep up from day one. Also read about propedeuse, nominaal lopen and dropout.
