What does Deur verdienen mean?
Deur verdienen (earning your door) is a tradition in some Dutch student houses where a new housemate has to earn their bedroom door.
Without a door on his room, he really had to do his best the first few weeks to earn it.
Dutch student slang. This is a Dutch word. You will hear it a lot at Dutch universities, student associations and in student houses.
