What does Flatmate mean?
A flatmate is someone you share a flat or student house with. A housemate.
"My flatmate ate all my eggs again without asking."
Flatmate is mostly British English. It is like roommate, but you don't share a bedroom. You live in the same place and share the kitchen and bathroom. In Dutch student houses you often have a whole bunch of flatmates. Also read about studentenhuis, huispanda and dubbel gemengd.
