What does Huisparasiet mean?
A huisparasiet (house parasite) is someone who hangs out at a student house all the time, without living there.
Officially he didn't live there, but as huisparasiet he was around more than most housemates.
Dutch student slang. This is a Dutch word. You will hear it a lot at Dutch universities, student associations and in student houses.
Usually it is the partner or best friend of a housemate. They eat the food, sit in the GR and know where the spare key is. After a while they belong to the house just as much as the people paying rent. Also read what HG means.
