What does Lecture mean?
A lecture is a class where a lecturer or professor explains things to a big group of students.
"The lecture starts at half past eight. I'll watch the recording later."
In a lecture you mostly listen. There is less room for discussion than in a seminar or tutorial. Sometimes there are questions or polls. In Dutch it is called a hoorcollege. Also read what office hours means.
