What does Sorority mean?
A sorority is an American student association, traditionally for women.
"She joined a sorority during her exchange. Now she knows the whole Greek alphabet."
Like fraternities, sororities organise parties, charity, housing and an alumni network. They often have Greek letters as their name. The Dutch version is a women's student association or a dispuut. Also read about frat, studentenvereniging and uf.
