What does UB mean?
The UB ("universiteitsbibliotheek") is the university library, where Dutch students study and borrow books.
She spent the whole week studying for her exam in the UB.
Dutch student slang. This is a Dutch word. You will hear it a lot at Dutch universities, student associations and in student houses.
During exam weeks the UB is packed and finding a seat is a sport. Some students show up at opening time to get one. In Leiden it has a nickname of its own: the LUL. Also read about study session, cappu and cramming.
