Dutch student slang
What does P mean?
P is Dutch student slang for the propedeuse, the certificate you get after passing your first year.
"Did you get your P yet?" her mum asked at the end of the year.
Dutch student slang. This is a Dutch word. You will hear it a lot at Dutch universities, student associations and in student houses.
It is pronounced "pay" and is a lot shorter than saying propedeuse every time. Getting your P is a big moment. It means you survived year one, and the BSA can't touch you anymore.
