What does Studievereniging mean?

Through her studievereniging she went on a study trip to Berlin.

Dutch student slang. This is a Dutch word. You will hear it a lot at Dutch universities, student associations and in student houses.

A studievereniging organises lectures, trips, career events and borrels for its members. It is usually linked to your faculty. It is cheaper and more relaxed than a studentenvereniging. And a great way for internationals to meet Dutch classmates. Also read about bestuur and student union.
