What does Fusie mean?

Every evening at seven everyone sat down in the fusie for dinner together.

Dutch student slang. This is a Dutch word. You will hear it a lot at Dutch universities, student associations and in student houses.

It is the place where housemates run into each other most. Eating together, watching TV or just catching up. Depending on the city it is also called the GR, GK or geru. Same room, different name. Also read about studentenhuis and huisparasiet.
